“Over several sittings time allows for rare personal reflection… Capturing that moment when people become themselves is the real privilege of the portrait artist.”
Having returned to England after six years in Italy; studying in the renowned atelier of Charles Cecil in Florence and then immersing herself in the culture and stunning landscapes of Tuscany, painting, teaching, developing her style both as a portraitist and an accomplished landscape artist exhibiting in and around Florence including San Casciano in 2007, Emma now divides her time between studios in Italy and West London and is available for new commissions.
Emma is also keen to develop her illustrative skills demonstrated in her still life studies. |
